Kitchens by Style
We have over 30 years’ experience in the interiors, renovation and building industry, so we can offer a kitchen planning service. This is offered at a flat fee of £100 which can be refunded (subject to your kitchen order being over £2,500) within this service you can make up to 5 amendments (with a maximum of 1 major and 4 minor amendments) from our original design. By engaging us to help design your kitchen, we will work with you to understand the needs of your kitchen and maximize space available. We cover a huge range of styles from open plan modern kitchens to small traditional kitchens, meaning we can find a style that is perfect for you. We can also help you cost your kitchen using a plan from any other supplier. Feel free to send us your plans and we are more than happy to provide you with a quotation based on Kitchun prices.
What is a Shaker Door?
What sets a shaker style door apart from others is it simplicity. With its square framed design and inset flat centre panel characteristics shaker will be suitable for every kitchen. The versatility of a shaker means that it can look good in wood-grain, matte and gloss coloured finishes. Shaker doors come in either solid wood or MDF. Both materials can have V grooves or flush joints, depending on what you would like in your kitchen.
What is a In-Frame Door?
An In-Frame kitchen is a door that has a frame attached to the front of a kitchen cabinet to hide the front edges of it. The door fronts sit and open within the frames and the cabinets are fitted with special hinges and drawer front edges of it. An in-frame door is considered a traditional style and has become popular again due to its versatility. In-frame kitchens can be done in a shaker or traditional style.
What is a Slab Door?
A Slab door can be defined as a cabinet door that had a flat panel with no decorative designs. The flat panel is not raised or recessed and has no arches. It is a simple design and easy to make. A slab door can suit both a modern and traditional kitchen. A slab door can suit all colours and finishes, however in hardwood, the beautiful grain patterns are highlighted because of its simple design, this can be accented by using stains.
What is a Handleless Door?
A handleless kitchen is a combination of a flat slab door with an integrated handle profile that creates a clean smooth look. Its minimalistic but can still be striking. You can use colours to create a subtle or bold look. Handleless doors is finished in highly durable lacquers and can look stylish in any type of kitchen.
